The Italian solar sector has experienced remarkable growth this year, driven by significant investments from international companies that have committed to its development. This result is reflected in data from grid operator Terna, which revealed that, for the first time in Italy’s history, renewable energy generation surpassed fossil fuels in the first half of the year. Solar and wind projects were the main drivers of this progress, with a 14.6% year-on-year increase in their production.
Ingenium Group, focused on decarbonizing energy production, has successfully completed the sale of Aprilia, two operational photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 110 MWp in Lazio, Italy. The transaction was carried out in partnership with KE-Reninvestment, a Turkish platform of the Kinesis Enerji Group specializing in the construction and investment of renewable plants, which was supported by Legance in structuring and negotiating the transaction. The photovoltaic portfolio was acquired by the Austrian company Verbund AG, one of the leading energy companies in Europe, reflecting the growing global interest in large-scale photovoltaic markets.
This transaction highlights Ingenium’s strong track record in managing renewable projects, having worked on all phases of the lifecycle of these projects, from planning to implementation. With this sale, the company continues to consolidate its presence in the market and remain a pioneer in the creation of sustainable energy solutions.
